Disney world condos

Let’s consider the issue of space first. If you stay in a hotel you and your family will be cramped into one or two small rooms. Sure you can put up with it for a week, and you will not spend all your time at the hotel, but have you ever considered that you do not live your life at home in one or two rooms, so why should you start doing it when you are trying to relax on your vacation. The vacation condo rentals are spacious, with two or three bedrooms, large living rooms, dining rooms and kitchens. The condos also have two bathrooms. You will definitely have room to stretch out in and relax yourself.

I mentioned luxury and the reason for this is that the vacation condos are situated in communities that have community clubhouses with game-rooms, fitness centers, movie theaters, swimming pools, playgrounds, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts. The condos are also fully furnished and equipped with TVs, DVD players and in many cases high speed Internet service and a free international/long distance telephone service.

Convenience is another important benefit of staying in a vacation condo. The condos are located in resort communities that are only minutes away from Disney World and other Orlando attractions. There are plenty of shopping facilities and restaurants adjacent to or nearby the condos. On top of that, many of the condominiums offer a free shuttle service that will take you to all the attractions. You can forget about spending long hours in your car or fighting with traffic jams.

If you are traveling with your family or a group of people you can save a lot of money by staying in a rental condo. For example, a two bedroom, two bath condo, big enough to comfortably accommodate six people can be rented for as little as night during the low season, and no more that per night in the holiday seasons Christmas, New Year, Thanksgiving and Easter.

I gave the example of a two bedroom condo, but you can also get condos and townhomes with three bedrooms as well. The important thing is to start looking for the condo that is best for you and your family and to make your reservation in advance. Early selection and reservation is especially important if you are planning to take your vacation during the holiday periods.

If your preferred method of vactioning includes hitching a pop-up to your car, there’s a wonderful campground located right on Walt Disney World property near the Magic Kingdom called Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The resort accomodates tent campers and RV’ers alike, and also provides “wilderness cabins” for those who are camping-challenged.

The resort is located on over 700 acres with most campsites shaded by pine and cypress trees. Deer, rabbits, ducks, and even armadillos and peacocks may be seen roaming the campgrounds.

The large size of the resort requires its own internal transportation system. Use of cars to travel the campsite is prohibited except for arrivals and departures. Three buses travel Fort Wilderness to transport guests to the recreation, dining, and park transportation areas. Bus waits can often be long, so using a bike or electric golf cart will save time. You can bring your own or rent them at the resort’s Bike Barn. Golf cart rental reservations can be made up to a year in advance (supply is limited).

The one-bedroom wilderness cabins have all of the amenities of your typical hotel and sleep up to six people. The cabins also include fully equipped kitchens and a charcoal grill if you want to skip the resort and park restaurants for any of your meals.

Magic kingdom tickets

Spending a day at the Magic Kingdom can be a truly magical experience or a very stressful one. What makes the difference is being prepared for the park and arriving with a plan. Families that travel to the Magic Kingdom without researching the park layout, park attractions and features of the park will find their day spent tackling long lines, hot weather and confusing park details.

The best way to approach a trip to the Magic Kingdom is to review all the available information on the park while planning your trip to Orlando. First time visitors will be overwhelmed by the number of attractions, shows and sheer size of the Magic Kingdom. If you plan to spend only one day at the park you will have to plan on making some tough choices on what you really want to see. When traveling with children, it is always best to plan on spending two full days at the Magic Kingdom. This will enable you to see all the attractions and get the full Disney experience.

By reviewing the park layout in advance you can prepare a “plan of attack’ for the park. Even in the off season, the Magic Kingdom is always the most crowded of all four Disney Parks. Many of the most popular attractions, such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Winnie the Pooh’s Adventures always seem to be packed with people waiting on line. You will maximize your time at the Magic Kingdom if you understand the best ways and times to visit each attractions.

Also, Disney is always adding new attractions, refurbishing current ones and introducing new park policies (security checks, FastPass tickets for attractions). Learning about these procedures in advance will only maximize your day, touring the park. Advance planning will definite save you time and money as you visit the Magic Kingdom.

Disney cruise line

Cruise has outstanding onboard restaurants; the dishes are prepared by the world's most excellent chefs. Dining room ambiance has a calm elegant feeling; food presentation has an alluring style. Cruise not only offers perfect destinations, but also provides reasonable priced cabins for families and singles. Don't even think about having to sleep on an uncomfortable berth, because Cruise lines have installed 'Carnival Comfort Bed' sleep systems in all the ships now. A cruise line adventure offers events and event planning help if you have particular needs especially when you are traveling with your family or larger groups. Online, Cruise lines offer suggestions, tips, and messages posted from other Cruise line adventures.

Finding the perfect cruise line. If you are thinking about going on a cruise to enjoy a romantic sunset on a honeymoon, or even perhaps on a passionate getaway vacation with your loved one, choosing couple-friendly cruise lines will certainly be crucial. Once you’ve got that bit right, you can look forward to enjoying each other’s company either on the deck or stateroom of your cruise ship or on the shores of your ship’s port of call.

Before you even sail away, you should be able to ask yourself how much you are willing to spend on that dream vacation or romantic getaway, the duration of your cruise, places or destinations you want to go, and the type of accommodation you will be more comfortable of staying in. You might also want to ask yourself if you will be mingling with other people or just be content spending day in and day out in each other’s arms without any interference or distractions. Also consider your clothing preferences while on a cruise because some lines have formal socialization nights that require you to dress up.

For couples, the following are considered couple-friendly lines: Norwegian Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises, Oceania Cruises, Radisson Seven Seas Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, and Holland-American Cruise Line.

Disney cruise

The Disney Cruises offer breaks from 3 to 7 nights in duration. These include a variety of off-shore and on-shore options and allow you to choose the cruise which is truly right for your family. The shorter 3 or 4 night cruises take in the Bahamas and call into port at Nassau and Disney’s own private island, Castaway Cay. The longer cruises of 7 nights offer you the choice of eastern or Western Caribbean seas and islands but whichever you choose you can be confident that your views will be breathtaking and that you are almost certain to experience the beautiful sunshine that this part of the world is famous for.

In between the island exploring that these cruises offer you, you will be aboard a truly spectacular cruise liner. There is no need to worry about what you will do to occupy your time when sailing as there is a whole host of activities available for all the family. Activity groups are provided for children through to teenagers, and these groups are divided into ages so that you can be sure the activities on offer will stimulate and entertain your child, whatever their age. Disney cruises even offer parents their own club which is just for adults, allowing them to spend some quality time away from the children whilst remaining confident in the knowledge that they are being cared for by fully qualified staff. Activities available just for the adults include a spa and salon, nightclub and adult-only restaurant.

Family time is also catered for onboard the cruise liner. Live entertainment is provided daily, beginning with a Welcome Aboard show and ending your cruise with a Magical Farewell. In between you can be sure to be introduced to all of your favorite Disney characters and songs in shows which live up to and exceed the reputation Disney has for superb live entertainment.

The only problem you will have when it comes to food is deciding which restaurant to eat in. Catering for all tastes and palates, the cruises offer an exciting variety of menus and world cuisine. This gives everyone a real opportunity to try something new and the exceptional chefs on board will ensure that it is all prepared to the highest standard. Only the finest ingredients are selected for every dish, as you would expect from Disney.

With so much to see and do on a Disney cruise, you will have very little time to spend in your room and when you return there you will want to fall straight to sleep so that you can be up and ready for your adventure the next day. However, you can rest assured that the same attention to detail is found in the rooms as it is everywhere else on the cruise. When booking, you can select the type of room you require and you can be certain that it will exceed your expectations.

Walt disney

Food can be outrageously expensive at Walt Disney World and sometimes, of poor quality. There are also great things with Disney World, like a great way to get rejuvenated and re-energized for the next busy day is to take advantage of one of the luxurious spas that are located at the deluxe resorts from Walt Disney World. Those are actually the only products of his prodigious and rich creativity.

Get married in the Disney World but for real. A custom wedding with a more flexible package and with more than 10 guests, ceremony and personalized reception will cost you from $7,500. Not cheap but why not start your marriage in the world of fantasy.

You can also start your day early at the Magic Kingdom as each morning one of Disney’s theme parks opens an hour early only for guests staying at a Disney resort. If you are a registered guest of a Disney resort, you can drop off the kids at one of their child care centers for around

$10 an hour per child where they are given dinner along with classic Disney movies, arts and crafts, and video games.

There is plenty of buzz surrounding the Bluezoo, this dreamy outpost at the Walt Disney World Dolphin where it really is worth the cost of dinner just to check out the stunning, underwater like fantasy land dining room adorned with air bubble light fixtures, shimmery silver-blue organza curtains, and carpeting mimicking an expanding drop of water.

If the idea of returning to Disney locations over many years to come then you might want to consider joining the Disney Vacation Club. You can also be connected to the Disney World on the Internet where you also find information about the Disney Stores.

Disney tickets

If you're going to Disney World, chances are you have some questions about getting Disney World park tickets. Ticket options have become so varied these days, it can be frustrating to know what to get.

This article will give you tips on buying Disney World tickets, saving money and getting the most value out of them.

Disney World Park Ticket Tips:

Disney World Park tickets are currently called 'Magic Your Way' Tickets. With these tickets you can visit all four Disney World Theme parks including the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. You can buy 1 day tickets and up to 10 day tickets.

There are several ticket options:

- Base tickets where you can only visit one park per day

- Park hopper tickets where you can visit as many parks (all four) as many times per day as you want

- Water park fun and more tickets where you can visit 1 theme park and 1 water park per day or Disney Quest Indoor Theme park

- Water park + park hopper where you can now visit as many theme parks as you want in one day

- and finally, the No Expiration option which you can add to any of the 4 options above to make sure you tickets never expire.

Obviously the more options you have, the more expensive your tickets. Here are some ways to save money and frustration on tickets:

1) First of all NEVER buy your tickets second hand from a classified ad or auction site. You have no way to verify if they are authentic. And Disney will not reimburse you if they turn out to be fake.

You can buy tickets direct from Disney World, as an add-on to a Disney package or from a Disney discount authorized ticket reseller. These are all 'safe' ways to buy authentic tickets.

2) Unless you have no other choice, don't buy your tickets at the park the day you go. This is your most expensive option.

3) You can buy your tickets in a package deal (i.e. with airfare and Disney resort accommodations) however it's hard to actually find out how much you're paying for the tickets. So you can't compare prices against, say, buying them at a discount seller or direct from Disney.

Disney magic kingdom

One of the amazing things about the Magic Kingdom is that the Imagineers didn’t just slap up the attractions. They put a great deal of thought into finding special ways to delight and awe the guests who would visit - by adding fun details and little surprises.

That tradition has become a cornerstone for creating Disney magic. These are some of the treasures you’ll find in the Magic Kingdom – (now that you know where to look!)

1. In the courtyard behind Cinderella’s castle, there’s a beautiful fountain that features young Cinderella with some animal friends. The backdrop to the fountain is a lovely mosaic with a crown in the pattern. If you look at the fountain from the right direction and the right angle, the crown looks like it’s on her head. This little detail foretells Cinderella’s future as the Princess of the land.

2. Remember the Tom Sawyer tale about whitewashing Aunt Polly’s fence?

Well - every morning Cast Members create their own mischief by hiding some of Tom’s paintbrushes on Tom Sawyer Island.

While your kids are exploring the island, they should look for the paintbrushes. If they’re lucky enough to find one, turn it in to a Cast Member and they’ll receive a special surprise!

3. At the Haunted Mansion, ask a Cast Member about the Legend of Master Gracey. Most give a haunting performance. This is the basic story:

Master Gracey was the master of the mansion. His first wife was a tight-ropewalker – and sadly – lost her footing while crossing over an alligator pit. There’s a painting of her in the library.

His second wife was a young girl who was very close to her family. She couldn’t bear to be separated from them when she got married - so she killed herself on her wedding night. (You’ll see her haunting the mansion in her wedding gown.)

After 2 tragic deaths, the Master reached the end of his rope (literally!) You’ll see him hanging in the library tower. His tombstone is in the graveyard – on the left as you enter the mansion.

Note: This story is quite different from the storyline of the Disney movie “The Haunted Mansion”. I guess the original theme was just a little too whimsical (the tightrope thing), tragic (the wedding night suicide) and far-fetched (the whole thing) that even Eddie Murphy couldn’t make it workable.

It does make for a cool ride though!

4. Check out the old-fashioned wooden telephone mounted on the wall in the Market House on Main Street USA. It’s a party line and if you pick up the receiver and listen - you’ll hear a silly conversation. (Of course - then you’ll have to explain to the kids what a party line is!)

5. Waking up Tinkerbell

Tink is not any early riser and needs to be awakened every morning. If you’re at the park when it opens, make a beeline to Tinkerbell’s Treasures. (It’s on the left behind Cinderella’s castle.)

The first children to arrive can ask a Cast Member if they can awaken Tinkerbell. If they’re selected, they’ll take part in a sweet little ceremony.

Disney world

If you are headed to Orlando and Disney World for your next vacation then I have a tip for you. Instead of staying in a hotel, you should get a Disney home rental, that is, a vacation home rental adjacent to Disney World. Vacation rentals combine great locations, incredible luxury and, believe it or not, a truly affordable price. In case you have never considered this accommodations option, I will guide you through the main features offered by Disney home rentals.

Hotels are nice, they are often luxurious but they are costly. In addition just think about it. At home you do not confine yourself to one or two rooms, so why do it on your vacation, when you are trying to relax? It is usually not a viable option to rent four or five rooms at a hotel but did you know that you can get a four bedroom, three bath home located ten minutes from Disney World starting at $130 per night?

The rental home I am talking about has a private pool, Jacuzi and spa. Other Disney home rentals have game rooms, DVD, Cable TV, full air conditioning, heating, fully equipped kitchens and all the furnishings that you need. Located in resort communities that are within 10-15

minutes from Disney World, these homes offer the best possible accommodations for an enjoyable vacation at Disney World and the other attractions of the Orlando area.

Just try to picture yourself in one of these homes. You can put your children in their own room or rooms and be certain that they will get a good night’s rest. You can go out to the theme parks in the morning, and come back for a short meal and rest at mid day and then go out again refreshed for the afternoon. You can come back at home in the evening and enjoy a swim in your private pool or a barbeque with your family. It would be difficult or impossible to do these things in most hotels.

The great thing about all this is that you get luxury, comfort and convenience at an affordable price. You save on the cost of the accommodations and if you prepare some of your meals, instead of always eating out, then you will also have additional savings. If you want to enjoy your vacation or holiday with friends, relatives or a larger group then the savings are truly amazing.

Walt disney world epcot center

EPCOT Center, which was rebranded as simply "Epcot" in 1996, is one of the most iconic creations ever conceived by Disney engineers and is as well-known as a part of Walt Disney World as Cinderella's Castle. It opened to much fanfare in October of 1982, and remained the largest of Disney's various theme parks until 1998 when Disney's Animal Kingdom opened nearby. Epcot was designed by Walt Disney himself as one of his greatest creations, though unfortunately he did not live to see its construction or the changes that were made to his original plans.

Envisioning EPCOT

EPCOT, which is an acronym that stands for, "Experimental Prototype Community (or sometimes City) Of Tomorrow", was originally conceived by Walt Disney during the 1960's while he was developing plans for Walt Disney World in Florida. The EPCOT idea existed even before the plans for the Florida location were set in stone, and was based upon the amount of experience that Disney's "Imagineers" had acquired in building construction and advanced concept designs. Disney imagined EPCOT to be a thriving community with up to 20,000 residents, where shopping, schools, civil services, and all of the residents' needs would be more or less self-contained within the community itself.

The EPCOT city was to be designed as a radial community, with shopping and commerce being centrally located. Beyond that, the schools and civil services that the residents would need would make up the second ring (and would thus be closer to the residents themselves.) The outermost ring would be made up of the residential sector, and those living there would have the advantage of being the same distance from everything that they would need (as opposed to the sprawl that is encountered in modern cities.) Disney envisioned EPCOT as a city that would never be completed, as new technology and innovation would keep improving the designs and the lives of all who lived there.

A Change of Plans

The board of directors however did not like the idea of Disney opening a city with no central attractions, and though Walt Disney was opposed to the idea of making a "sequel" theme park to Disneyland he eventually relented and allowed the construction of the Magic Kingdom to be planned for the Florida property. He still expected to make EPCOT a reality, though he passed away before the city of his dreams could be built.

Not wanting to be responsible for a full-fledged city, the board of directors refused to continue with the plans for EPCOT (though they did allow Walt Disney's brother, Roy, to complete the Magic Kingdom.) Several of the ideas which had been created for EPCOT were included in the final design of Walt Disney World, including some of the unique solutions that the park employed for transportation and its water and electrical supplies.

Walt disney world guide

You’ve talked to your travel agent, read the guide books, and now you believe that you are ready to experience a family vacation to Disney World with your family. However, for many tourists, this vacation taken the first, second, and even the third time, can lead to an intense sensory overload, not to mention too many dehydrating days in the sun, leading one to believe that they missed a lot of what this wonderful area had to offer. As a Floridian, whose family has worked at Disney throughout the years, maps of all four of Disney’s theme parks are forever burned into my memory as are some great survival tips that you and your family might be interested in.

First and foremost, decide as a family what is most important for you all to see. This will vary with the age of your children and your different interests. However, when everyone can decide on a plan, it’s time to plot out your day. For example, if a trip to the Magic Kingdom is agreed upon, decide which rides you MUST go on. Hopefully, you have obtained maps of the theme parks from your travel agent, your travel package, etc. so you know which rides are at what park and where they are. If you haven’t already checked it out, go to Disney’s website. It is a very valuable source of information. So, if your family decides that they must go on Space Mountain first, make that the first ride and bypass everything else. There will

be time in the day to backtrack. Also, arrive at least half an hour before the park opens. This will give you time to be at the front gates, ready to make a run towards Space Mountain when the park opens. Be aware of what rides have fast pass tickets available. This will also help your planning as well. Since there are so many rides in the Magic Kingdom, you may not get to go on all of them in a day so only go on the rides you and your family have dreamed about and make it a priority to go on only them.

If going on your Disney vacation during the summer, please stay hydrated. During midday, when the sun beats down and reflects on the concrete, it can really feel like an oven. Contrary to popular belief, you can bring your own water bottles and snacks with you into the park. Just bring a tote bag and, though all bags are checked, Disney officials don’t mind if you have a couple of drinks and a pack of granola bars. Just don’t go overboard. Food prices are high at Disney. Water usually costs around 2.00. Also, from 11:30 in the morning until around 4:00, the theme parks are very busy and the day is at its hottest. Don’t overstress yourself during these times. Instead, find some shade and take a break from the day or go on a ride that you hopefully have a fast pass for. Since the lines are also extraordinary long during these times, if you don’t have a fast pass, go on one of the more unpopular rides where the lines are the shortest. In the Magic Kingdom these rides are The Carousel of Progress and the Hall of Presidents. At Epcot, the pavilion at Mexico is the best place to go and the little boat ride there is very enjoyable.

Walt disney world magic kingdom

With attractions like the Main Street USA, Fantasyland, Adventureland, Liberty Square, Frontierland, Tomorrowland and Mickey's Toontown Fair, the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida is perhaps the most popular Disney resort, as well as the first in the line. Built in 1971, the resort spanning over 28,000 acres is, every year, thronged by thousands upon thousands of visitors both young and old.

The Main Street, USA, is where you can walk or enjoy a horse-drawn street car. Horseless carriages and the Walt Disney World Railroad are also there to take you visiting Ariel’s Grotto or Cinderella’s Castle amidst other attractions like the Mad Tea Party or Mickey's Philhar Magic. Adventureland takes you through the exotic and remote foreign lands; be it Alladin’s Magic Carpets or the Jungle Cruise, the atmosphere is stunning and enjoyable for all ages.

Dubbed the ‘Most Magical Place on Earth’, the resort also features some of the all time greats of the animation world; Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto, all having the Disney name

in common between them. Mickey's Toontown Fair boasts attractions that feature all of them, including Donald’s Boat, The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm and Mickey, as well as Minnie's, Country Houses.

To keep the different sections of the kingdom connected, yet eliminate the need for characters of one kingdom to pass through other kingdoms where they look out of place, the Disney team built utility corridors in the shape of underground tunnels, coining them as Utilidors. The detail that went into the planning of the resort is also apparent from the ‘forced perspective’ visual trick used in Cinderella’s Palace which makes it look much higher than its actual 189 feet.

Designed by Michael Graves, the award winner architect, the luxurious Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel Orlando is the place to stay while you visit the Magical Disney resort. At the heart of the Walt Disney World Resort in terms of its location, this hotel features the Heavenly Bed and rooms with limited or resort view of the world surrounding it. The dining facilities within the resort are similarly luxurious as well as exotic, with 17 different outlets to cater to your taste buds. For those who wish to relax during their vacations, there are pools, waterfalls, fountains and even whirlpools to give you complete relaxation as well as a tropical environment to work on that elusive tan.
